Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness, designed to give you an experience of your soul. In kundalini yoga we harness the mental, physical and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely combines breath, mudra, eye focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, expand lung capacity and purify the blood. Bringing balance to mind , body, and soul.

Yogi Bahajan, who brought kundalini to the west in 1969 says, ” The kundalini experience does not mean you have gone into a deep breathless trance and are beyond this world. It integrates you more fully with reality and gives you a broader vision and sensitivity so that you can act more efficiently.”

Kundalini is a yoga for ‘householders’, for people who have to cope with the daily stresses of holding jobs, raising families and managing businesses. It is a path for everyone who wants skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.(3HO).

About the teacher

Dale Curteis

I have been practicing kundalini yoga for 8 years. I am the kind of person who’s life and personality becomes more balanced if I have a practice. I have never liked exercise very much and found most exercise routines boring. I did tai chi for many years until life got in the way as it generally always does for us all. Luckily living in a small small community here in Noordhoek , I found a kundalini teacher just around the block……My practice has held me through many personal challenges and continues to do so. I will complete my level 1 training in September this year(2016). In training we are encouraged to teach, because in teaching we learn. We as a community of kundalini teachers are guided to give service- service to self, our families, our communities and our students. I look forward to sharing these teachings offered to us and as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
